This latest release by Madrid based Rec_Overflow, moulds together genres of electronic music under his distinct style of welded beats and minimalist progression without being contrived. Better known for his extrovert live performances (as any of you who were at the Crazy-Language showcase night in Berlin will know) Rec presents us with the last five tracks from his set, shifting easily from pseudo vintage electro analog/digital (KTRO and 1001) to 70s style sci-fi melodies and acid-fm basslines (Like A). To top it off REC & B acts as a sort of tribute to the so called IDM sound, but never losing the funk and flow, hallmark of Rec’s style.
